Screen: internal failure versus a new crack
A replacement screen that stops displaying during normal use may qualify after inspection. A screen cracked by a drop, pressure, a closing object or a bent lid is new physical damage.
Repair Advice
Understand the True One Fix 90-day limited repair warranty through practical examples involving screens, keyboards, charging ports, batteries, storage and physical damage.

Know what your repair warranty means
A good computer repair warranty should be understandable before a problem occurs. True One Fix provides a 90-day limited warranty on qualifying replacement parts supplied by us and the workmanship performed in the approved repair.
That does not turn an older laptop or desktop into a completely new computer. The warranty follows the specific repair listed on the invoice. If we replace a keyboard, the covered work concerns that keyboard and its installation. A later screen crack, power surge or unrelated motherboard failure is a different event.
Simple comparisons
A replacement screen that stops displaying during normal use may qualify after inspection. A screen cracked by a drop, pressure, a closing object or a bent lid is new physical damage.
A supplied keyboard that develops a verified key fault during normal dry use may qualify. Water, coffee, soda or cleaning liquid entering the keyboard is new liquid damage.
A repaired port that loses normal electrical connection may qualify. A forced plug, bent pin, cable impact or broken connector is physical damage.
A supplied battery with a verified early defect may qualify. Runtime naturally varies with workload, heat, settings, charging behavior and normal capacity wear.
A workmanship issue may qualify. A drop, twisted chassis, forced lid or continued use after the enclosure begins separating can cause new damage.
A supplied SSD with a verified hardware defect may qualify. Warranty coverage cannot guarantee or replace personal files, programs, accounts or licenses.
Why we use service seals
True One Fix may place a tamper-evident label across a cover or case seam after service. It helps us compare the device’s condition at pickup with its condition during a later warranty inspection.
Removing or damaging a label does not automatically cancel every warranty right. What matters is whether later opening, alteration or damage caused the reported problem or prevents us from reliably verifying the original repair. If a concern develops, contact us before opening the serviced area.

Common exclusions
Drops, impact, cracked glass, pressure marks, broken ports, bent frames, crushed corners and transportation damage are not repair defects.
Water, beverages, cleaning fluid, condensation, corrosion, insects, food, smoke residue and conductive debris can create new failures.
An incompatible charger, damaged cable, wrong voltage, surge, lightning, outlet fault or externally powered accessory may damage components beyond the repaired area.
A warranty for a repaired screen does not cover a later SSD failure; a repaired charging port does not automatically cover the battery or motherboard.
Coverage may be affected when later disassembly, modification or third-party work causes damage, changes the serviced area or prevents verification.
New infections, unsafe downloads, password loss, customer configuration changes and later software conflicts are not hardware repair defects.
A special case
Liquid can travel beneath components and through internal board layers. Corrosion may continue or affect another circuit after the original symptom is repaired. Because the full extent is not always visible at one time, some liquid-damage repairs may carry limited or no warranty.
Any repair-specific limitation should be explained before approval and recorded on the estimate or invoice. A new spill after pickup is always separate from the original repair.
If a concern returns
Do not keep charging a wet, swollen, smoking, unusually hot or physically separating computer.
Tell us the repair ticket or invoice, the current symptom and when it began.
Learn moreBring the complete computer and the charger, cable, dock or accessory involved in the symptom.
We compare the current condition with the approved work and determine whether it is a covered defect, new damage or an unrelated failure.
Maintain a current backup whenever possible. Repair and warranty service cannot guarantee data integrity.

The standard limited repair warranty is 90 days for qualifying replacement parts supplied by True One Fix and workmanship associated with the approved repair, unless different repair-specific terms were disclosed in writing.
No. New drops, cracks, pressure, bent enclosures, broken connectors, liquid and other accidental damage are separate from a parts or workmanship defect.
The same symptom can have more than one cause. Bring the device for inspection so we can determine whether it is connected to the covered repair.
No. We inspect the evidence. Later opening or alteration matters when it caused the problem or prevents reliable verification of the original repair.

“My ASUS ROG Strix G16 had a stubborn thermal-sensor failure that only appeared after long heat-up and cool-down cycles. Leon replaced the thermostat several times, performed extended testing, and kept me updated throughout the process. Intermittent motherboard faults are notoriously difficult to diagnose, yet they stayed committed until they isolated and repaired the underlying issue. Their persistence and technical skill made all the difference. I appreciate the thorough work and the transparency during the entire repair. Great Kudos to Leon for his dedication”
