A hardware failure on a personally owned computer—such as a broken screen, failed battery, damaged charging port, bad storage or overheating—may be appropriate for local repair. Problems involving a USF account, authentication, university software access, campus network or an institution-managed device may require official USF IT support instead.
We do not bypass organization security controls. Bring university-owned equipment only with appropriate authorization and a clearly approved repair scope.
Coursework and research files
Tell us about critical data before testing or storage work
If assignments, research, photos or business files are not backed up, identify them at check-in. Storage failure, Windows or macOS problems and encryption require different handling. BitLocker or FileVault recovery information may be needed for authorized storage or operating-system work.
Do not send passwords or recovery keys through ordinary text or email. Provide only the access required for approved testing.

Is your repair work guaranteed?
Completed repair labor includes a 90-day limited workmanship warranty. Parts may carry separate coverage, and exclusions apply for unrelated failures, accidents, liquid damage, misuse and other conditions listed in the service terms.
Do you repair personally owned student laptops?
Yes. We diagnose supported personal laptops and MacBooks for charging, display, battery, keyboard, storage, startup and other faults.
Can you repair a university-owned computer?
Only with appropriate owner or university authorization and a clearly approved scope. Institution-managed devices may need to remain within official USF IT procedures.
Can you fix my USF account or campus Wi-Fi access?
University account, authentication, campus-network and managed-software issues should be directed to official USF Information Technology.
Can I track my repair after drop-off?
